Making Proper Resident Positioning Easier

The Optimum Positioning Chair offers a nearly limitless range of adjustments that make proper nursing home resident positioning easier. The tilt-in-space design features an adjustable seat depth and independently operated adjustable elevating leg rest with adjustable foot support. Even the armrests are height adjustable for a perfect fit. An adjustable reclining back accepts a variety of trunk and head positioning options. Drop-arms and a removable backrest facilitate safer lateral transfers and protect the caregiver and resident from injuries that can be costly to long term care facilities.

Adjustable and Easy to Configure for Proper Fit & Comfort

The New Optimum Tilt in Space Positioning Recliner has evolved to make care giving easier, safer, and more cost effective.  Multi-density cushions redistribute pressure for superior comfort and better decubitus prevention during extended periods of sitting.  The patient lift compatible design, removable upper back, and drop arms reduce the risk of caregiver injury during transfers and repositioning.  A range of seat widths, options, and positioning accessories make configuring a chair to individual needs easier.  Numerous positioning accessories make the Optimum Positioning Recliner ideal in Hospice and Palliative Care while easy chair adjustments allow Long Term Care Facilities to quickly reassign this chair.

Comfort & Support

A pressure redistributing cushion is now standard on all Optimum Chairs.  The updated multilayered cushion has four layers of healthcare grade foam each with varying densities and composition to address a range of issues associated with longer bouts of sitting including heat, moisture, pressure and sheer.  Providing comfort and increasing autonomy eases agitation and in turn can prevent wheelchair falls and is a great alternative to a geri chair.
